1999-12-16

The server is still non-available... I now know that it will remain so at least until the next millenium. (The Boss have ordered the computers to be shut down over the new years.)

As you may have seen, the server is still not reachable. The administation people is working on opening the firewall to the server a.s.a.p. but they are not very quick... Hope you are all still with me, I know some of you are - thanks :)

I have decided to incorporate my project with the DCypher.Net project. It will run in parallell with this, i.e. this one will still be here but only if the server will become reachable.

1999-11-19

The net is finally available from the outside world. However, the server where the clients will be reporting data is still closed to the outside world. When the firewall is opened, then the data will show up on the stats page. (The ones that are updating up until the firewall is opened are from within the local network - they see an open port.)

1999-11-16

The new server location have turned out to be no good, partly due to the restrictions on the limited disc quota. Will have to wait until the hacker problems with the old location are solved and the old server could start again. Please make use of the old client (version 8) or download the latest version (10). No loss of data will occur if you use version 8 or 10, the data will be stored locally until the server boots up again (which will happen automatically). Version 9 could have a serious bug and send the data to the wrong server (which will loose the data).

The network where the server is at is still shut down. The re-start of the closed net is out of my hands but as soon as it goes up again, the server will be collecting data again. Hopefully this happens soon.

1999-11-11

It is not able to reach the server at the moment due to hacker activity and the local net has currently been disconnected from the internet. Don't worry, if you keep the applet and/or application running, then no data will be lost.

1999-11-01

Yet another version of the applet and the application is now available. It is now possible to run the application and still be able to recover some (but not all) data if the application is turned off. The application can be found here.

1999-10-29

A new version of the applet and the application is now available. The major change is that the new version accumulates statistics and sends everything when a connection is available, this increases the amount of data that needs to be sent but the statistics gets better.

Finally finished with the restoration, now everything should be back to normal.

The statistics analysis got corrupted so I am now working on restoring it, will have to update the converted IP numbers once more when the restoration is complete.

Information regarding an updated user or a new user is now available on the statistics page. Also working on the presentation of the calculated gamma flux, hopefully this will be ready soon.

Some IP numbers have now been converted to user id's after a short abscence, sorry for the delay. The FAQ list was also updated.

A standalone client in version beta 0.6 is now available. Read the this if you do not know how to operate it.

A new version of the applet is now online where an optional user id can be specified. See the FAQ for more information.
